EACH NOVEL WATCH IS STILL TRADITIONALLY REFINED, ASSEMBLED AND INDIVIDUALLY COMPLETED BY HANDS ON THE WATCHMAKER'S TABLE.
Handcraft
The heart of Novel is the hand-finished mechanical movements, which are completely dismantled, machined and set clean again twice for complete perfection.
Bevelling improves the interaction of the mechanical components and increases the function of the movement. By electroplating, sandblasting and black polishing individual components it is further refined.
Sunbursts and the hand-engraved rotor segment once again emphasize the craft of watchmaking that NOVEL stands for.
Face and Hands
THE DIAL IS HALF AUTOMATICALLY GALVANIZED BY HANDS, SANDED AND MADE WITH A SUNNY STRAP.
The hands are milled from the full, hand-riveted with the pointer eye and receive a final polish for the finishing touch.
Testing
EVERY NOVEL IS CHECKED FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK AFTER ITS COMPLETION, TO ENSURE THE OPTIMAL MOVEMENT OF THE CLOCKWORK.

NOVEL - The Self-Starters
NOVEL is a watch manufacturer founded in 2018 by two watchmakers and a designer in their hometown of Schaffhausen.
The aim is to continue the legacy of traditional watchmaking, which goes back to the 15th century in the city of Schaffhausen, and to refine it with the new ideas. Every Novel watch is assembled by hands on the traditional watchmaker’s table, finely finished and tested by the watchmakers in the house.
